Mr Q
The Challenge
Mr Q is a fun, fast-paced online gaming platform. But its login and registration experience wasn’t exactly matching the energy. Confusing flows, poor feedback, and clunky inputs were stopping users before they even placed their first bet.
Goal:
Redesign the mobile login and sign-up experience to reduce friction, increase conversions, and make onboarding feel just as fun as the games.
The Problem
Through user testing and analytics, we identified several UX pain points:
-
No sense of progress—users didn’t know how long the sign-up would take
-
Poor error messaging—vague and unhelpful validation messages
-
Input fields lacked real-time feedback (especially on mobile)
-
No upfront clarity on password or username rules
-
The overall experience felt transactional, not enjoyable
The Solution
The redesign focused on clarity, personality, and reducing friction.
Key UX Improvements:
✅ Step indicator to give users a clear sense of progress
🔍 Live input validation (with fun green ticks!)
🔐 Clear password/username requirements shown upfront
📩 Helpful, friendly error messages (not just “Oops”)
🎨 On-brand, playful tone of voice to match Mr Q’s vibe
📱 Smarter mobile form behaviour with keyboard-aware spacing
We also added a backup flow for ID verification issues, making it super easy to upload documents if needed—without killing the vibe.
The Outcome
A smoother, faster, and more delightful onboarding process.
🚀 25% decrease in sign-up abandonment
⏱️ 40% faster average completion time
💬 Users described the process as “clear”, “simple”, and “friendly”
🛠️ Support team saw a drop in login/signup-related tickets
Takeaways
Sometimes, the smallest details—like a green checkmark or a reassuring message—can make all the difference. Especially when your users are excited to play, not fill out forms.
This project reminded me how great UX isn’t just about solving problems—it’s about making people feel good while solving them.
